Zina Tofano was elected President of the Toronto Insurance Women’s Association in May of 2007. She has served on the Board since 2002. Zina has been a member of TIWA since 1993.

TIWA has provided a venue for Zina to improve her knowledge of insurance, learn new skills, improve on soft skills, network, make new friends, maintain friendships, and also to promote insurance education. She has chaired the Insurance Information Campaign, the Education Committee, the Carse Vanderkolff Committee (now the Cowan Dalton Committee) and the London Guarantee Committee (now the St. Paul Travelers Committee).

Zina has been in the insurance industry since 1969. She has worked as a claims adjuster for a major part of her career and as an account executive in E & O and D & O. She is now with The Insurance Institute of Canada as a senior associate editor responsible for CIP text books. She is a member of the CIP Society, the Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International, and the Editors’ Association of Canada.
